The beauty of any language is lost in translation, and an apt example would be the word ‘Sahachari’. Though literally translated as ‘women walking together’, Sahachari is much more than that. Sahachari stands for upliftment, for altruism, for societal responsibility, and, above all, for empowerment.

It was this holistic vision that compelled eleven Mumbai women to come together and establish Sahachari Foundation, a registered Trust dedicated to the betterment of the lesser privileged. The founders of Sahachari Foundation strive to create an inclusive society using their prominent social profiles to help deserving charities particularly in the field of education, healthcare, social welfare and promotion of culture.

The Events wing of Sahachari Foundation organizes special, high-profile events that enable private individuals, major corporations and institutions to participate and provide financial support to selected charitable organizations while taking advantage of the visibility and branding opportunities offered. In turn, the Foundation fulfils its objective by effectively allocating the resources that are received (via generous donations and financial contributions) from those who support its vision and work. By bringing together several streams to flow in a spirit of unison, Sahachari stays true to its name.
